Anne Heche had cocaine in her system when she crashed her car into a Mar Vista home

Los Angeles police determined that actor Anne Heche was under the influence of cocaine during her car crash in L.A.’s Mar Vista neighborhood last week.

A blood test revealed the presence of drugs, according to Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Officer Annie Hernandez, but additional testing is required to rule out anything provided to Heche at the hospital. If it proved out that the hospital’s drugs were the opioids, those preliminary conclusions might be thrown out.

The most recent revelation comes days after an LAPD official told The Times that investigators had acquired a search warrant for the actor’s blood in order to determine whether she was impaired at the time of the collision.

Heche’s representative revealed on Monday that the “Six Days, Seven Nights” singer had entered a coma and was in “serious condition.”

Heche’s representatives did not right away reply to The Times’ request for comment on Thursday.

Heche was hospitalized on Friday with severe burns after slamming her automobile into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, setting it ablaze. In just 65 minutes, 59 firefighters who arrived on the site quickly confined and put out the fire.

The actor was seen on film crashing into the garage of an apartment building in Mar Vista prior to the incident. She was again observed driving fast on a different roadway in the West Los Angeles district.

Heche visited the neighboring Venice hair salon Glass Hair Design just before the collision to get a vivid red wig. Heche didn’t appear to be drunk when salon owner Richard Glass sold her the wig, Glass told The Times.

Glass described his interaction with Heche as “very, very random.”

Although there were no additional injuries at the fire on Friday, neighbors told The Times that the house Heche crashed her blue Mini Cooper into had sustained significant damage. According to Mar Vista homeowner David Manpearl, Heche’s car slammed through the house and became stuck in the back wall. The resident of the home was unharmed.

Heche’s accident on Friday wasn’t the first time her odd behavior was made public. Heche visited a stranger in Fresno’s home in August 2000 after splitting with ex-girlfriend Ellen DeGeneres. She got out of the car and started talking about God and a spaceship to paradise while just wearing shorts and a bra.

DeGeneres said very little about her former partner’s accident and present state on Monday.

When questioned by a Daily Mail photographer in Santa Barbara, the comic replied, “We’re not in touch with each other, so I wouldn’t know.
