The FIFA Ultimate Team Deep Dive detailed and described the cross-play systems for FIFA 23.
Many now see cross-platform gaming as essential in today’s market. The feature has been updated by popular games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and others, and FUT is finally receiving that update in FIFA 23. Matchmaking, the Transfer Market, and Leaderboards are the three major topics covered in depth in the Deep Dive.
Here is all the information you require regarding the FIFA 23 cross-play systems.
Cross-play in FIFA 23 Explained
In-depth Team Matching
For 1-v-1 scenarios in FUT, players will now have cross-platform matchmaking across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. These game types include Play a Friend, Division Rivals, FUT Champions, Ultimate Dreamt, and Online Friendlies. This is a feature you can choose to use, as mentioned in the Deep Dive. Cross-play is optional for players; it is not required of them.
Players using consoles from the same generation are affected by this. According to EA, there won’t be cross-platform play between, say, an Xbox One and a PlayStation 5.
Athlete Transfer Market
The major news from the Deep Dive is the creation of a single, shared Transfer Market that will now be available on all PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Stadia platforms.
Leaderboards for the ultimate teams
In Ultimate Team, a worldwide leaderboard will be available across all platforms.
