Hailey Bieber is kicking out fall by drawing inspiration from Morticia Addams, one of Halloween’s most well-known symbols.
On the surface, Hailey’s August 18 outfit in Los Angeles—a blazer mini dress with striking side cutouts, thigh-high stockings, and chunky loafers—doesn’t exactly scream “queen of gloom.” But if you look closely, you can see some of Morticia’s distinguishing features. The blazer dress’s soft bell sleeves are reminiscent of Tish’s slinky, slinky gown, and its deep V-neck is a nod to Mrs. Addams’s go-to style. We have a hunch Morticia would look great in the all-black costume, which also included a small black top-handle bag and black sunglasses, even though it wasn’t a velvet gown with a puddle train.
Instead of opting for a long black wig and pale skin, Hailey kept her makeup incredibly elegant and sleek by tying her hair back into a bun and accessorizing with a set of hoop earrings. The supermodel may not be dancing the tango with Justin or chopping off the heads of roses, but Morticia would approve of her all-black ensemble. The timing of the look is also ideal because Wednesday, a new Netflix series based on the Addams family, will premiere this fall.
Because she favors easily available silhouettes and items like oversized coats and blazers, high-waisted pants, and a variety of sunglasses designs, Hailey has grown to be one of the most influential street style icons. Despite the fact that she likes to switch things up, a Hailey street style moment is always recognisable, and with fall just around the corner, we’re sure there will be plenty more stunning outfits to replicate.
