After Morgan Gibbs-White arrived from Wolverhampton on Friday for a rumoured 25 million pounds ($29.65 million), which would be a club record for Forest, that makes 16 transfers this window.

After 23 years in the lower levels and with some players merely on loan last season, Forest had to strengthen its roster for life again in the top tier.

The two-time European winners have also added players including right back Neco Williams from Liverpool, attacker Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin, and ex-Manchester United players Jesse Lingard and Dean Henderson. They started the season with victories over West Ham and losses at Newcastle.

Attacking midfielder Gibbs-White, 22, has never played on a regular basis for Wolves. He scored 12 goals and assisted on another 10 on his season-long loan at Sheffield United.

Although he never played for the senior side, he played ten times for England’s under-21 squad.

Cesare Casadei, a young midfielder who moved from Inter Milan on a six-year contract, was also signed by Chelsea on Friday.

The Italian squad, which included the 19-year-old Casadei, advanced to the Under-19 European Championship semifinals this year.

At the beginning of August, Chelsea acquired Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, who is 18 years old.
