After three years of marriage, Michelle Branch and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney have decided to divorce.

“Just saying that I and my loved ones are heartbroken would be an understatement. It seems like the floor has been yanked out from under me, and I have to find out how to get back on my feet “, Branch, 39, said in an interview with PEOPLE. Because of the presence of my young children, I would appreciate your consideration and privacy.

Representatives for Carney, 42, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The musicians wed in April 2019 at New Orleans’ Marigny Opera House in front of friends and family, including the bride’s 17-year-old daughter from a previous marriage and the couple’s 4-year-old son, Rhys James.

The “Everywhere” duo had their second child, a daughter they called Willie Jacquet, in February.

When Branch gave birth to a daughter named Willie, she took to Instagram to share the news. “Her first name, Willie Madge, is Patrick’s grandmother’s name, and her middle name, which was my mother’s maiden name, is mine. Our affection for one another is unfathomable.”

In an interview with Audacy’s Megan Holiday, Carney reflected on being a father and shared the inspiration for naming his daughter.

“Fifteen minutes before the scheduled cesarean section, Michelle replied, “I’m not sure about the name.” It was a complete shock to find out whether or not the baby was a girl or a boy. She said, “I don’t know about that,” when told the girl’s name was Willie “With that, he got things rolling.

“When the baby was delivered, I looked into her eyes, and she had light blue eyes — which is funny because Michelle and our son have dark brown eyes — and I was like, I think her name is Willie because my grandmother had the same eyes,” he continued. “My grandma despised the very sound of her name. Basically, I bet the farm on this one.”

The Black Keys have been on the road since May to promote their eleventh studio album, Dropout Boogie.

The first track, “I’m a Man,” from Branch’s new album The Trouble With Fever was released last month, and she announced its release on Twitter last month.

Release date for her album is September 16th.
