Fans of fiery cuisine, celebrate! Success with the limited-time Scorchin’ Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich in April 2021 has prompted Smashburger to bring it back.

Nashville hot crispy chicken, spicy red pepper mayo, and pickles on a toasted bun made this sandwich a huge hit at multiple locations last year.

The better burger chain is reintroducing the chicken sandwich, and from now until September 30, 2022, you can buy it online or in select stores for just $5. Upgrades and swaps will incur an additional fee.

After a rough year for the restaurant industry, the Scorchin’ Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich debuted with a marketing campaign that called for an end to the infamous “chicken sandwich wars.” Colorado-based chain provided fast food employees with free chicken sandwiches and offered a buy-one-get-one deal to customers for a single day as part of the campaign.

The Scorchin’ Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich may be back, but that’s not all Smashburger has in store for you this year. The adult chicken tenders and scorchin’ hot chicken tenders debuted in March at the fast food burger joint, and customers can get them in three- or five-piece orders, respectively, with their choice of barbecue, ranch, or honey mustard for dipping.

Additionally, Smashburger added to its burger selection by making the Colorado Burger a staple. Served on a toasted chipotle bun, the burger is made with Angus beef and features grilled Anaheim chili peppers, aged cheddar and pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise.
