This week on WWE NXT, Tyler Bate returned in dramatic fashion to confront Bron Breakker after the massive Heatwave main event.

In a major spoiler for an upcoming episode of NXT UK, the Dudley-born British wrestler stepped out at the end of Tuesday night’s special episode while carrying the NXT United Kingdom Championship.

In the aftermath of Rick Steiner’s son Breakker’s successful defense of the NXT Title against J.D. McDonagh, Bate came out to stare him down.

Although the finals of the tournament to determine a new NXT UK Champion following Ilja Dragunov’s injury have not yet aired on NXT UK television, the winner, Bate, has already been crowned as champion.

There was a lot of excitement, though, because a potential champion versus champion clash has long been anticipated as the moment when a fan favorite finally breaks out.

Bate, who at the time was only 25 years old, won the NXT UK Title in 2017 as part of the first United Kingdom Championship Tournament. Since then, he has held the NXT UK Heritage Cup and won both the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Titles with his Moustache Mountain partner Trent Seven.

His fellow British act Gallus, consisting of the Scottish trio Wolfgang and brothers Mark and Joe Coffey, also made a significant impact on Tuesday’s show, and he now appears ready for a showdown with Breakker.

The three stars, including the Creed Brothers and then Roderick Strong, appeared and mapped out the Diamond Mine, establishing their dominance.

It will be interesting to see how things develop in Orlando with so many NXT UK stars in attendance.

This year, Tyler has already stated that he is willing to relocate to the United States if that is the direction things are going in the wrestling industry.

He said, “I’m completely open to that” in an exclusive interview with Metro.co.uk. But ever since I started working as a pro wrestler, I’ve wanted to try everything. In my opinion, life is more interesting when you keep things interesting. There is so much out there that I feel compelled to explore it all. But since I am here at the moment, this must take precedence.

On Tuesday mornings at 1am, BT Sport 1 broadcasts WWE NXT.
